Trina studied film, television and media at the University of Auckland, then spent over a decade in banking across collections, lending, and client services. As a Loan Writer she reads a home loan a bit like a story: where it starts, what the numbers are really saying, and how it ends with someone getting the keys. Her credit-assessment work is careful, and the rule she holds to is plain: be kind and treat everyone with respect. In her business-banking days, when a customer locked out of internet banking was panicking about paying their staff, she walked from bank to bank and made the payments manually herself. She is a serious foodie, always hunting down a new restaurant and reading up on the history of food across cultures, and she likes to find New Zealand's quieter corners on the weekend.
